Toddler Haikus

Sorry for the prolonged absence...

I'm back at work (outside the home). That means I'm wearing clothes again, outside of sweat pants, I mean. A good thing.

Meantime, here are some thoughts in haiku form, which is all I have time for these days:


First day back to work
I wake to toddler vomit
Violation! My own bed.

Your small noses run
Colors defy nature
I am surely next

You hit your brother
The rescue comes too late
Teeth marks on your cheek

The rug smells of pee
It’s no fault of my body
You, without diaper.
